On a trial basis, offered free of charge, we will start DIY mending hours from 1 February to March 21, 2024 on Thursday afternoons between 13:30-16:00 at Maakplaats053 in the Enschede (Centre) Library, open walk-in.
So do you have holes in your jumper or socks? Bring them along to repair or mend them in an original way.
Or do you have a pair of broken jeans? You can make those beautiful again with Sashiko (Japanese basting stitch technique) & Boro (is the result of visibly repairing worn textile).
Books from the library will be available for perusal and borrowing (with a valid subscription) should you wish to learn more or to get started at home. We have materials, but if you want to bring your own yarn and/or fabrics, that's possible too.
